My Story

Welcome to Pocketful of Cozy!

Hi, I'm Mia, and crochet is my zen.

It all started when my Aunt Sheryl taught me the very basics of crochet when I was a young girl. That simple gift of yarn and a hook has grown into something I truly treasure. For me, crocheting is the thing that centers me, brings me peace, and fills me with joy — especially knowing that something I made with my own hands will bring happiness to someone else.

I love making things that are both fun and useful. Whether it's a squishy fidget frog that keeps restless hands busy, a microwave bowl cozy that protects your hands from a hot bowl of soup, or a cozy hat to keep you warm on a chilly day — every item is made with care and intention.

For years, I made my crochet creations as gifts for friends and family. Now, as a retired school principal with a little more time on my hands (and quite a bit of inventory!), I'm so excited to share my handmade pieces with a wider world. If I can make a little vacation money along the way, that's a bonus — but mostly, I just love the idea of my cozy creations finding their way into your home.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope something here brings a little warmth and coziness into your life. 🧶

With love,
Mia
